How do you react when you're stressed?
Submitted by Deep ThinkerI usually get pissed off, and then I cry about it.
What has been your favorite mistake?
Submitted by RunnergirlProbably that whole postal courier thing from three years ago. But I don't like to mention it much anymore. I learned my lesson, and that's all that needs to be said.
How were you punished as a child?
My mom used to spank my and my sister when we were little, but when we got a little older that sort of stopped. She never really did anything after that. Usually we kind of just felt bad after we did something wrong. Perhaps I was just born with a good conscience. Who knows.
Show us one of your favorite co-workers.
This is a picture from my barbeque last Friday of all the co-workers that I invite. Sometimes I hate playing favourites, but right now I'm getting into this dude named Matt, who is in the white shirt to my left in the picture. He's only eighteen, but I guess he just brings out that wreckless teenage kid that I never was. He's really a charming kid, despite the fact that I still find it odd that I call him that, being only three years older than him.
Show us something frustrating
This is is Higgins, a kitteh I bought on a whim. All of my guests like him. Even the guy from work who passed out on my couch on Friday and woke up the next morning with a killer hangover told me that he was a "good cat". Right now I don't know why he would think that, because Higgins going through that annoying kitten phase, wherein ANYTHING is a fucking toy.
I've realized that I am more of an older cat person. The next time I adopt a cat, it's going to be one of those old fuckers that just sit there on the couch all day and sleep. Those are the kind of cats I like, which is great, because kittens are sometimes so bloody over-rated.
Which of The Ten Commandments have you broken or would you consider breaking? Why?
Submitted by balderick24.
ONE: 'You shall have no other gods before Me.'
What teenage girl hasn't not broken this one? I've had plenty of teen idol models. Not that I thought they were God, per se, but I'm sure some of those hardcore religious people would consider me an abomination for posting pictures all over my room.
TWO: 'You shall not make for yourself a carved image--any
likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth
beneath, or that is in the water under the earth.'
I never actually carved myself a shrine, so I think I'm still A+ with this one.
THREE: 'You shall not take the name of the LORD your God in vain.'
OMG!
FOUR: 'Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy.'
There used to be a time when I wouldn't listen to music with bad words in it because I wanted to keep Sunday a holy day. Unfortunately, there was also a time when I loved Eminem so much that I had to listen to him on a Sunday. Dang.
FIVE: 'Honor your father and your mother.'
Once again, teenage angst tends to get in the way. I realize the sort of sacrifices my parents made for me, though. Is that enough, God?
SIX: 'You shall not murder.'
Even in video games?
SEVEN: 'You shall not commit adultery.'
This one says nothing about premarital sex.
EIGHT: 'You shall not steal.'
I stole from a thrift store once, and at times I steal some coins from on top of Jon's desk because I never have cash. But stealing from actual stores is wrong.
NINE: 'You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor.'
I've never made up stuff about people. Sometimes I say things they didn't want me to say, but I've never exaggerated.
TEN: 'You shall not covet your neighbor's house; you shall
not covet your neighbor's wife, nor his male servant, nor his female
servant, nor his ox, nor his donkey, nor anything that is your
neighbor's.'
We all covet things.
Show us your bookcase.
Submitted by Alexandra. This is me in front of my bookcase. I don't have a lot of books, but they look good when they're organized by colour and mixed in with knick knacks.
Other than TeamVox, who was the first person you added to your Vox neighborhood? What made you want to be their neighbor?
Submitted by TheFiercestCalm.Sadly, it's just TeamVox, I believe. Nobody else I know is as social network savvy as me.
What's your alma mater?
Submitted by Lies.Well screw me for being Canadian - I had to check Wikipedia for the meaning on that one.
Elementary: John Tod Elementary School
Secondary: NorKam Secondary School
University: Thompson Rivers University
When do you start your holiday shopping?
This is Canada, so I usually shop around the beginning of December. I hate rushing into Christmas. By the time it actually comes around these days all I give a shit about is having lots of bacon for breakfast and lots of cranberry jelly to go with my turkey dinner.
